Hatfield. 
Hatfield is a small town in Hertfordshire, north of London. It is covered by postcode areas AL9 and AL10 and has a population of 30,000. It is a historical place with an Old Town and a new one. The former grew up around Hatfield House, the seat of the Cecil family and has links to Queen Elizabeth I. The modern centre around St Albans Road was founded after the WWII as a New Town. De Havilland and later British Aerospace had a large factory in the area which closed in 1993. Currently the town centre is undergoing regeneration. The town’s railway station is on the London to York East Coast Mainline and commuters can travel into London by train in 20 minutes.
